I'm asking for your advice

Low fog, strip of sky, and reflecting ocean

Dear readers, wherever you are:
My beloved husband of 32 years has been diagnosed with lung cancer. We are getting ready for the necessary ordeal of surgery and treatment in hopes of reclaiming a few good years afterwards. He has always loved the ocean and the mountains, and cannot now find the energy for either one. I'm thinking that a cruise might be manageable, plus give him easy access to both of those vast and wonderful features. I would greatly appreciate hearing from you, all over the world, about cruises you may have taken, or have heard of people taking, that were especially transcendent. Or ones that were disappointing. If nothing else, it would give us something lovely to think about, and we could so use a change of subject.
